these are both great movies for their genre, and would definetely be in my top 20 movies..

By wisper on Friday, February 8, 2002 - 06:53 pm:

because Alien 3 is the best one.

i love these movies, and i don't even know
    why.

By Neutroxide on Friday, February 8, 2002 - 07:31 pm:

i never really cared for them... they never really caught my attention. kind of like how everyone seems to love star wars and i don't.

By heather on Friday, February 8, 2002 - 07:46 pm:

you are too young, really for star wars

i think it was an 'of its time and place' kind of thing, anyone would be unimpressed with the last one.

By Neutroxide on Friday, February 8, 2002 - 08:02 pm:

yeah. i know why it was big, and i think i probably would've been into it as much as anyone else was if i was old enough to understand it when it came out.

Hey, Aliens (2) is the best of them. I don't know if Ridley Scott directed the 3rd and 4th and upcoming 5th, but those movies should never have been made. Aliens is one of the VERY few movies that outdid its prequel.

By semillama on Monday, May 5, 2003 - 11:35 am:

no, you're wrong. Aliens was the shallowest of all 4. Basically it was just one big shootout. I loved Alien Resurrection, but it was by one of my favorite directors. ALien 3 was pretty good too. I liked the tone of the movie.

By spunky on Monday, May 5, 2003 - 11:38 am:

    Help me out here...

Alien 3 was the prison planet?

I don't know if I have seen the fourth one yet.
What was it about besides oh-my-gawd-i-gotta-get-the-hell-outta-here-again?

By BIGKev on Monday, May 5, 2003 - 11:43 am:

it was the one with all the clone ripleys thats about all that i can remember...

Perhaps the 2nd (Aliens) was most popular because James Cameron wrote and directed it. As you all know he seems to know exactly what his generation (and younger) want in movies.....

I still like the original best, its far more thriller/suspense then the subsequent ones... although the shoot-em-up Aliens, certainly is entertaining.

By spunky on Monday, May 5, 2003 - 11:49 am:

    that's right.
    I have seen it.
I thought it was cheep to keep her character alive by cloaning her.

By wisper on Monday, May 5, 2003 - 01:04 pm:

i find 2 really boring, just your basic shoot-everything action movie.
    I like 3 the best, it's beautiful.

By eri on Monday, May 5, 2003 - 01:38 pm:

I'm with you on that one Wisper. Three is my favorite, and 2 bores me almost as much as 2010, which literally bores me to tears.

By semillama on Monday, May 5, 2003 - 04:14 pm:

3 probably is the best one as far as cinematography goes. In some ways, that's the darkest as well.

I will admit if 4 had the exact same plot but different actors in teh supporting roles, i wouldn't have liked it as much.

But you gotta like any movie with Ron Perlman and Dominique Pinon.

all alian films are excellent.all our fears rolled into one.

By wisper on Thursday, May 22, 2003 - 07:03 pm:

    it's spelled alien, loser.

i can't believe I'm correcting someone elses' spelling. you know that's sad....
