My day has been made by the appearance of my car in a tommy hilfiger ad in this months vanity fair.
    full page no less.

tommy hilfiger is the spunk of satan.

    death to the wack.

i don't understand how anyone wears that shit. The thing is, why does anyone wear anything from such an egotistical designer that he has to put his name in bold broad letters on every piece of garment. I always want to ask someone when I see them wearing a big ass Tommy jacket this.....

"Excuse me, did he pay you to wear that jacket? No? Well you know, the cocksucker pays 6 figures that have his name printed 1/8th of that size in any random magazine for 6 months time, you really should demand at least your money back."

as matter of fact, i don't wear anything with blunt logos like that. The idea of paying them to advertise their crap is beyond me.

i have a pair of tommy hilfiger pants that i feel guilty about, but they were only fifteen dollars and they are blue velvet. i really like them. my sister gave me major shit for buying them.

You shouldn't feel guilty. It's no different than wearing any other brand name on your shirt/pants/shoes/whatever. Everyone advertises, even if they don't admit it.

don't tell anyone cuz i'm a punk rocker, but i buy tommy hilfiger stretch jeans cuz i like how they fit... then i rip off the tags. and MAN! those tags are hard to rip off. they're sewn in a million times. it's like "don't you DARE pretend that we're not name-brand baby!" well too bad.

By patrick on Wednesday, March 15, 2000 - 12:14 pm:

Gee, I am looking at my clothes today, and other than the tag on the inside* of my shirt, there is no advertising. This is the case everyday. Oh wait, there is a tiny "Lee" patch on the belt loop of my cords, but I wear a belt, so it's not advertsing if no one can see it, right? I never wear anything with a logo bluntly placed on the breast, sleeve, chest, back or whatever, usually it looks silly and i don't understnad the point. I think were only making a point about Tommy because that egoist is so blunt about it and the sheep of the general population don't think of these things. Not everyone advertises with their clothing.

I suppose band shirts are promotion, but I rarely weart those anymore either. I do have glow in the dark sterolab shirt, but thats more of a novelty.
