So, this weekend Cameron's mother sort of sidled up to the subject of our new wedding date (was 10/28/2000) and mentioned how it conflicted with the trip to Acapulco (did I spell that right?) she and his father had scheduled and paid for already to celebrate her retirement after like 25 years as a speech pathologist in a public school. Fuck. Cameron was all pissed off. He and I tossed around all kinds of psychological torture ideas. My personal favorite was: so, you'll be out of town? Cool, then you wouldn't mind if we had some people I met on the internet stay at your place, right? Anyway, upshot is: looks like we're going to see how the weekend of OCTOBER 21st works for everyone. Just thought you should know. Still going with the optional costume thing. I don't know what I'm wearing, so don't hassle me. Oh, and Swine? My mom will be there. She hasn't had any in like 10+ years, and I've told her all about you! She's looking forward to it!

Oct. 21st works for me. Your mom probably has enough psych trauma because all these weird folks from the internet will be showing up.

who all is still planning on going?

I need to know if I'm going to need the circus midgets.

Agatha, I may be in Seattle for someone else's wedding in August (the love of my life emeritus and his long-time babe). Should I make plans to try to get to Olympia?

By agatha on Tuesday, April 25, 2000 - 02:21 pm:

absolutely. in fact, i will be mad if you don't.

Hey Margaret: you don't know me but I can't come. I'd love to sepnd the weekend in the desert with the Nekkid Sorabjites but... I'll be in Minneapolis that weekend. But thanks for the invite though, and best of everything to you both. Tell me where you did your bridal registry so I can send the appropriate candlesticks, or Waterford, or incense or something. Save me some cake.

I want to meet you in seattle or olympia or wherever you want in the i-5 corridor, margret.

By Margret on Wednesday, April 26, 2000 - 10:22 am:

Cool, Cyst, if I make it out there I will probably rent a car so I can get as far as Olympia (which is like a 1/2 way point between Seattle and Portland, right? I went to Portland from Seattle once and I only dimly remember Olympia because I saw the sign for Evergreen and I'd considered going there). I may not go, though, it depends on the work situation.

olympia is 20 miles north of the halfway point. I would love to meet you there.
