here's stuff i've heard from people at work.

    (1) in afghanistan, kidnergarten classes teach children to be kamikaze pilots.

    (2) in afghanistan, children are blindfolded and forced to walk around on minefields until a mine is found.

    any others?

its fact women are not sent to school period, so that may or may not effect those two statements.

those two sound like half-truths to me.

in afghanistan there are few roads. in afghanistan there is civil war. in afghanistan there is little infrastructure.

I think it was either Iran or Iraq that used children to clear minefields during their war.

I hadn't heard of Afghanistan doing this.

I don't think they were blindfolded.

They also used to have them march in front of their advancing army. Nice people aren't they?

    rumors. rumors.

seeing as my first point i heard from joan (bridge jewelry) who saw an isreali ambassador on tv who said it, i believe it's highly doubtful. as is the second point.

i bought a t-shirt with the american flag and the statue of liberty on it.

"give me your tired, your poor,
your huddled masses yearning to breathe free"

i can't remember the next line.

"i lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
