Toilet paper and being bored

sorabji.com: The Stalking Post: Toilet paper and being bored
By Cat on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 - 04:43 pm:

Boy am I bored. My Dad always tell me only boring people are bored.

I love all his cute maxims for life although most of them sound like they came out of a magazine you only read on the toilet. That is if you read on the loo because I have a real aversion to any other paper, than the stuff on a roll, being in my bathroom.

I always buy rose-scented toilet paper, which is really about as useless as the old buy-a-diet-coke-when-ordering-a-big-sloppy-hamburger-thing when you think about it. But I am sure my toilet appreciates the thought.

i think one existentialist or another said that boredom is the only sin. wipe then flush.

i wroted a song about you a while ago. or i was bored and messing around on guitar and started to make up a song about australia, and you are pretty much all i know about that country. worth writing a song about.

i will regret telling you this.

You'll only regret it if I don't see those lyrics and soon. I may be 7000 miles away, but I [lame german accent] haf veys [/lame german accent] of making you sing like an emu.

I know an emu who (that?) is a great opera star.

when i was a kid (in the 70's) there was an australian guy on the harlem globetrotter's show who did this thing with a big emu puppet. the emu never talked, mostly it would just bite the australian guy or meadowlark lemon.

that's how i know what an emu is.

Was that Rolf Harris, Droop? He does a great song about putting the wobbly boot on. Which is Australian for getting drunk.

Hang on, maybe it was Slim Dusty who did the wobbly boot thing.

Rolf definitely did "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport".

An englishman and an emu? That's just sick.

Even if he did do some emu training in Australia for a while.
