    i haven't been here very often in the past year or so. i've become a workaholic. it's very creepy -- i don't know how it happened.
    so -- my dad died and i'm headed to maryland for the memorial, ballston spa ny for the actual burial, and then to the wilds of pa for my friend julie's wedding. so i won't be around even more. please hold the condolences on the dead dad issue: we were not close.
