so, there is some chance that something will happen in vegas over the 4th. same chance as before this guy came out, but that's not really important. what's important is because of this guy, fewer people will be in vegas over the 4th. maybe many fewer. this guy may or may not be a terrorist. no, this guy is definitely a terrorist-- he is causing terror and reducing our ability to live as americans. is he a terrorist on purpose? i don't know. but he is definitely aiding in the expressed goals of the terrorists. i.e. those who would reduce our ability to live as americans. his actions are somewhere between detonating a nuclear device in vegas and standing on the strip pissing on the shoes of midwesterner tourists. some number of people will be deterred from ever going to vegas again. some greater number will be deterred from going on the 4th. his 'bomb' has been successful. widespread media attention. people will be afraid to go to vegas. the desired impact has been effected. so, what's the answer? to be safe from these kinds of attacks we can create new laws. maybe make it illegal for people to talk about potential terrorist acts? or make it illegal for the media to print that kind of thing? that would increase the safety of the american way. at the cost of the american way. sounds horrid, but the government does it all the time. i'm just waiting for my government gin. |

Oh well. I don't think that guy is a terrorist, I think the media is the tool. |
