Writing is my passion. Writing is how I express my thoughts, reveal myself, and impress myself. I would never want to lose that to the downward spiral of drugs. Did Hunter S Thompson become a brilliant journalist by abusing drugs? Did Lewis Carroll need drugs to bring "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" to life? When Aldous Huxley wrote his visionary "A Brave New World", was HE on Soma? Can it be denied that Ken Kesey HAD to have been of sound mind to create an insane novel such as "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"? Would Jack Kerouac have had the motivation to write "On the Road" if he was stoned? My answer to ALL of these questions is NO. As a writer, I am compelled to follow the examples of these great minds, and remain drug-free. gotta love it.

Things like that amuse me. I'm sure there is some idiot out there who reads that and actually thinks that TheAntiWoD has a really good point. I would have to say the chemical imbalance in my brain is my anti-drug... who needs drugs when you've got a natural high?

I live in a room with padded walls. At night, the men in white coats put me in a straightjacket and mouthguard. Then they leave. Solitary confinement, my anti-drug.
