    I am Jack's wounded pride.

    I am Jack's floundering brain.

    I am Jack's salvation.

    I am Jack's glorious return.

    I am back.

By Lapis on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 - 09:30 pm:

jack's back! can i get the jumbo quesadilla burger, a breakfast jack, jumbo seasoned fries, and small diet coke?

By Dougie on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 11:42 pm:

So wait, let me get my scorecard straight here. Hal was jack, the guerilla poster with a penchant for truffles? And Rowlf, was he somebody else here once, or did he just show up out of the blue a month ago or so?

By patrick on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 11:48 pm:

    stop eating the leaves dougie.

By Dougie on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 11:57 pm:

    ¿que?

By sarah on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 00:04 pm:

he means the choleus leaves, ya big dork.

By Hal on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 00:23 pm:

    Who the fuck is "Jack?"

I am no gurrilla poster, and I resent the implication.... Ass...

And note, I never once say "I AM JACK."

Damnit, dougie I expect better of you. Nate how's an 8-ball sound instead? I could just kill a coke dealer, probably would hurt me less. Who the hell is Dingo, and should I know the answer to that question? Has TBone been around as of late? Hey Pez/Lapis, miss ya. Thank you for knowing my odd postings at a glance Spider. And Dougie by the way buddy, whatever that is in your mouth, spit it out now dude. That shit will kill ya.

By Antigone on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 00:27 pm:

Hal, these people have not been enlightened by Robert Paulson.

    His name is Robert Paulson.

By kazoo on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 00:27 pm:

    Hal! What's going on?

By Platypus on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 00:32 pm:

    DELIVER ME FROM SWEDISH FURNITURE!

By Nate on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 00:42 pm:

do i look like i want an 8-ball?

here's how it works, hal. every week i'm going to send someone by to pick up 10% in interest. if you can't make the interest payment, it is applied to your principle. this is no a payment plan, you pay off the principle all at once or not at all. if i feel like your principle is getting too large, i'm going to figure out another way to get value out of this deal. do you understand? you don't want that to happen.

By Dougie on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 02:43 pm:

Shit dude, I'm outta practice here. I just spit out my tuna sandwich. Didn't know that could kill you. Glad to see you're back.

By dingo on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 02:53 pm:

    note to self:
Never, ever borrow money from nate

By Nate on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 03:24 pm:

not when nate's been watching a lot of the sopranos, anyway.

By heather on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 04:10 pm:

i just used all my money, whee!!

By sarah on Thursday, April 17, 2003 - 05:09 pm:

By TBone on Monday, April 28, 2003 - 03:22 pm:

Hmm. I thought that said "naughty spot" at first.

I liked it better that way.

I'll probably have a greater presence after May 17.

By Lapis on Monday, April 28, 2003 - 04:19 pm:

    Why May 17th? School ending?

Hal, where are you? Mysterious two posts then back to the dark. Hrm. You never gave us an update. Even in your emailed replies.

By TBone on Monday, April 28, 2003 - 04:48 pm:

They're gonna let me wear the funny hat on the 17th. Or at least, they haven't told me they aren't yet.

I don't know much more about what's going on with Hal than you do. Maybe less.

His mom talks to me occasionally online and said he was moving and had a couple of jobs. Mentioned a girl, too. That sounds promising anyway... I've been meaning to hunt him down, but I have no time and less motivation for social activity.

After the 17th. Then I'll stalk him down.

By Lapis on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 12:04 am:

He posted something about a girlfriend sometime back in January. I tried calling him awhile back, but his phone'd been disconnected. That's the entire extent of my information.

What are you majoring in again? They used to have ads on TV for OSU where they had funny funny hats. With archetectural models and things on them.

By jack on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 01:47 am:

    principal.

By jack on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 02:06 am:

    when in doubt,
    have a backup plan.
    anything, really
    to fall back on.

    and you'll feel better.

    don't worry about the particulars
    unknown factors
    must always be considered.
    but your basic idea
    and operational strategy
    should be simple,
    straightforward, and adaptable.

    the problems are often
heavier than they at first appear.
    i think you'll agree that
    no problem is insurmountable, although
    great effort is sometimes necessary.

    true,
    often we
    see great difficulties
    and tribulations where
you would prefer to see solutions.

    however,
    another
    long period of consternation

    DOES NOT EQUAL

    justice,
    amity,
    clarity, or
    knowledge.

By patrick on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 02:45 am:

By jack on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 02:50 am:

    i doubt it.

By TBone on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 12:06 pm:

    Computer Science.

In '98, it sounded exciting. Now it sounds like a punch line.

By Lapis on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 01:00 pm:

Ha, ha ha ha, Computer Science! Ha ha!

By Nate on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 01:21 pm:

missoula is supposed to be a new hotspot for software jobs.

    i hear.

i know where the cold spot is.

By wisper on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 06:41 pm:

    in your pants?

    hah!
    *rimshot*

By TBone on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 08:18 pm:

    It is?!

My god. They must be keeping it very, very quiet.
Seriously, though... if it is, I must be looking in the wrong places.

...though I did finally get a call about my resume last week. Still waiting to hear more.

By TBone on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 - 08:37 pm:

"S & K TECHNOLOGIES (SKT) is seeking to hire for the following position: Image Processor providing production data processing for tits APFO contract with the Department of Agriculture"

    Oooooh...

    Mysterious-like.

By jack on Monday, December 1, 2003 - 11:44 pm:

the april 29 post, for those who didn't get it, revived the "first letter of each line" thing. except for the all caps line.

By heather on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 - 12:52 am:

By jack on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 - 01:04 am:
