how awful. is there usually a wildfire season there, or is it particularly dry this year? also, what was the race? a running race? what distance? will they reschedule it? does this mean you have to wait even longer to eat your candy? i used to run. i once ran a 1/2 marathon. glad i did it, but i'd never do it again. |

My race was a 5-mile benefit for Moffitt, a top-tier cancer treatment/research center here on campus. I don't think they're going to resked - too many logistical problems. Hubby and I usually do the Gasparilla 5K in February then quit for the year, but this year we decided to stick with it. The plan is to do a 5-miler, then graduate to a 10K (6.4 mi.) then do the Gasparilla 15K (9.3) next February. That'll be my limit. Ain't no way I'm doing a half marathon. Candywise, I gorged on some of the chocolate when it first came. Hubby's eaten all the chocolate/mint stuff and my son and his buddies are making short work of the rest of it. No one's touched the Spud yet. I haven't worked up the courage to try the vegemite yet, but I will. I can't wait to see the photos of PR. I'm so glad you're feeling better. |

a friend of mine used "flame" people while we were cruising around in our car. when we stopped at a red light, he'd lean out of the passenger's seat, take a swig of whiskey, light his lighter and then spit the whiskey out so that a burst of flame would hit the car next to us. once somebody shot at us. fire's some crazy shit. |
