    Why is it necessary to have armed guards in our schools? When I went to school we never even would have thought of such a thing. Even when I went to college I only saw survalence cameras on one campus. That was at a college in the inner city. And, seeing them gave me the creeps.
    What has happened to bring us to this point?
    Don't tell me it has anything to do with gun control, violence in movies or video games. Something has completely changed our culture.
    And, too many lines have been crossed.

    Here's a hypothetical for you - Would we be in anymore danger if we got rid of all the extra safety meassures that have been taken? Survailance cameras on most streets in the cities. Metal Detectors in every government office building. Vehicle stopping posts and planters almost everywhere. etc.

    Isn't it possible that all these measures put us in more danger because the nut jobs see these things and then get the idea to do something even bigger than the last nut job.

    I watched them all yesterday. All the kids were in the side yard, they bought for such things, playing Base Ball. And, their parents were watching.

    Some times I do envy them. They seem to be the quintessential family. I never hear them have any disagreements. And, they all love playing together.

    It truly is nice to see a happy family. Especially today.
