I had to put my cat down this morning - he was losing his battle with cancer after getting diagnosed earlier this year. It just hit me that for 80% of my life, there's been a cat around. It's going to be very strange not having that presence in my life for a while.
I fully intend to have another cat, but I think my wife would prefer a little break while we figure things out regarding pets.
