http://oxenmediastudios.com//creations/patrickmorrison!blo g/ which I think most of you know. Daddy part deux. (cut and paste, for some reason that link wont format) Initially both of us were more terrified of getting mm. m. .maaaaarried more than having a kid together after going through rough divorces ourselves. But we came around to it. But there was this buring question of how. Initially it was to be just a visit to the magistrate to get it done, but we approached early September. No good. Too close to her previous anniv. Early October nudges up to mine. Then the solution came. Halloween!! Problem. Eva is with her mom on Halloween and shes not one to give that up...not for this anyway. Solution. Midnight ceremony on Oct 30th.....in the woods, on our property. She will be with us that night and can have a rare opportunity for a child to witness a parent getting married. Offer. Quick email to a fistful of our closest friends in far away places to see if there was even a remote possibility of their attendance. All are coming. Airfare is blessedly low that weekend. A houseful of our best of friends, no annoying family, in the woods on our property, exchanging spider rings...all on Halloween weekend......Oh, and did I mention that Nate, being ordained, will do the ceremony. So goes all the fears of the second go round. More to come to be sure. |
nate is ordained? as what? anyway - congratulations, mazel tov, and howler monkees. |
anything other than separate mom and dad so for her its a pretty big deal. nate is one of these http://www.ulc.org/ |
