    Someone used the word "cremains" in an office memo describing the funeral service of a recently departed coworker, and I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't a joke.

    Doesn't "cremains" sound like someone is trying to be funny? Is it that hard to write/say "cremated remains"?

    it sounds to me like some sort of alien life form or alien nationality. or like some word you would make up with friends on a lazy day when you had nothing better to occupy your minds.

    Did anybody see where the french have banned the word e-mail? The new word is courriel. Is this a retaliation against freedom fries.
