I love Dreamland

Last night I dreamed I'd gotten knocked up. Another scarey dream. Only scarey in the sense that I know I'm not mature or responsible enough to handle having a baby (where's my worry-free fun time, first?), and the "father" in the dream has a girlfriend. It was one of those dreams where you're right inside yourself, and you're Thinking about stuff all the time, so I was planning to go talk to the father about the fact that he'd gotten me preggers, and I was all knotted up inside from being so anxious about how he'd react. If he hadn't had a sweetheart, I don't think I would have been as nervous, but the fact that I knew I was about to blow his relationship freaked me out. Of course, it didn't occour to me that he'd Cheated and that's what was going to blow his relationship. Reminder: just a dream, just a dream, just a dream. The second time I've had this one, though.

The nightmare was much worse once I woke up. When I woke up (woke up for real, not dreaming) my dogs were fighting...right on top of my head. RIGHT on freaking top of my head!! So I, still being half asleep, start screaming. Not calling for anyone or anything, just wild, free-style screaming. Somehow or other they get off of me, and I'm trying to rip 'em apart and yelling for help from my brother, since I can't really get them apart all by myself. It was heck. Anyway, a few minutes later, after I'd replaced the phone on it's hook, the phone rings. I answer it. Woman says: "Hello, this is the police, what's going on over there?" It turns out that one of the dogs had dialed "0" during the fight, and the operator had heard me screaming and calling for help and had called the coppers. I explained what had happened and felt really stupid for it all.

Now that I think about it....if you'd heard someone screaming wildly and calling for help, would you stop to ask "what's going on over there?" before you went to help? Freaking police.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of Dreamland.
