Well that is what I feel like saying in this outfit. I'm kinda bloated today and needed to wear something a little bigger.

Navy blue pleated shorts with white piping on the bottom of the legs and a little anchor on the buttons and a white sweater. My hair in a curly little ponytail. I feel like an old person, trying to be something that I am not, but hey, it fits and it matches, so I guess it could be worse.

I tried to wear these cute, low cut, faux suede brown pants, but they are really long in the leg and I would need to wear some high heeled boots with them, and I just can't do that right now. Shoes still hurt and must be flat. Instead I get to dress like I used to when I was trying to look older and embarrassed to show any hint of what my body looks like under clothes. I have spent a lot of time trying to look younger and closer to my age and to feel sexy in my clothes. That is all undone today!

    Hey, I do that sometimes.

Until I left for college, my mother wouldn't let me wear anything that she didn't buy for me, so I often ended up dressing like a 40-year-old teacher. Now I have to make an effort to dress more appropriately for my age because I don't really know how. I'm also built like a 40-year-old teacher. :)

PS. After 2 weeks and 3 days on the Atkins diet, I've only lost 3.5 pounds. I must have a high metabolic resistance to weight loss. Still, that's 3.5 pounds less than I weighed on Jan. 20, so I'll take any progress I can get.

3.5 pounds in 2 weeks is just fine. Don't push it.

did you get ketostrips? are you in ketosis?

By Spider on Thursday, February 6, 2003 - 03:44 pm:

No, I wasn't able to find them. I got a catalog for Atkins' food and such, and I saw them in there, so I'll order some.

(Goddamn, that stuff in the catalog is expensive. $9.99 for two loaves of bread? But the ketostrips are around $7 for 50 of them, which I figure isn't too bad. It's not like I need to use them every day.)
