    I have a couple friends who do it occasionally.
    They have similar stories, although they
    combine trainhopping with hitchhiking.
    They've met a ton of crazy people.

    I have a couple of friends who used to be trainhoppers too. One of them has no legs.

    It can be dangerous.

    But it does look sort of like fun.
