    because its not really that significant.

    from what i understand of the bill it allows federal prosecutors the option of filing two counts of crime instead of one. considering it specifically excludes those who practice legal abortion the threat pro-choice advocates claim it contains has yet to be made clear to me as are the claims of pro-lifer org's citing it as a victory in their stuggle.

    i dont see how this grants 'fetal rights'. its implied but thats about it.

    granted politics is playing a role in the wording, but the over all institution of legal abortion is pretty sound it the pro-life side is claiming this as some sort of victory.

    it doesn't grant rights, per se.

    the overall instition of legal abortion became unsound with the whole partial-birth thing.

    all of it just frightens me.
