Is there a way to find out the physical location of payphones? I have been receiving numerous calls from payphones in a centralized area (I know because I have researched some, and found where they are generally coming from). I have filed a police report as I have received over 200 calls in a 3 month period of time, but they are absolutely no help.

At first it was funny because I thought I knew who it was and they weren't saying anything...and neither was I. Since then, the messages have gotten somewhat threatening and not so funny anymore. With no help from the police, I am on my own.

Can anyone help? Most of the phones cannot be answered and are rerouted to have a modem pick up after a few rings. I have found a few by trial and error and because I know the area pretty well.

    A. The Bell Co. in your area should/could be of help?
Call the public phone division and explain to them the problem. We know that the Phone Co. is usually of little help, however if you explain the "deal" to them then they might be able to do somthin'.
    B. Caller ID might work, although at my house it only says "payphone".
    C. Change your number.
    D. *69 calls the number back where I live. Maybe you could get someone other than the culprit to tell you where the location is.
    E. Have your RBOC (Bell Co.) block calls from those lines. This is assuming that you know the numbers. This will not help much unless the culprit only wants to use those phones.

The RBOC knows where the call originates from! With the proper approach they should help.

    Good Luck!

You can always ask LEVIS for some assistance as he has experience in this area.
