Minneapolis and St.Paul Minnesota now have two area codes, 612 for Minneapolis and 651 for St. Paul. Unless these area codes are used you will get phoney information from the phone company regarding the status of the phone line. Soon Minneapolis and St. Paul locations will have an additional 3 area codes......then watch the toll charges added to the phone bill as is done presently in other large cities.
