Any movie trivia buff have any idea what number was on the dial of the payphone in Psycho? -- the phone the detective called from before going to the motel and getting killed. A friend of mine thought he saw the last 4 digits as 9756 when he saw it in a theater. Obviously, there's no such detail on video.

When I was in high school, some 40 years ago, a friend of mine snuck into the pressbox at the school's football field -- the insides of which saw the light of day probably less than 20 hours a year. Inside was a payphone mounted on the back wall with the number ending with 9756 on it. He said that phone just looked as evil as could be in the darkness as though it had come up from hell. The number was active only during football season -- the rest of the time, if you dialed the number, you'd get an intercept, which in those days meant an angry operator wondering WTF are you dialing this number for. The numbers 9-7-5-6 came to represent gross evil in my circle of friends at that time.
