    Jay, just curious, and speaking of jobs, as a Marine Biologist, how do you have so much internet access time from work? Do you work in a lab and sit in front of a computer all day? I thought Marine Biologists were out in the field a lot, gathering specimens, or studying migration habits of fish and birds etc?

    Well, i have my slow days and my busy days just like any other job i guess. I do spend time in the field but at the moment with the project i'm working on i spend most of my time in the lab, perched in front of a microscope. this observation of phytoplankton gets a little hard on the eyes and overall sanity after a while so i take frequent breaks. return to my desk, check my email, distract myself with sorabji conversations, go back to the microscope. it helps to keep me fresh.
