    To whom it may concern
    The phone numbers listed for the suburbs south and east of Phoenix (e.g. Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Apache Junction, and Gilbert) are no longer part of area code 602, as listed in the Payphone Project. They were assigned to area code 480 several years ago. Also, many payphones listed do not accept incoming calls, so the phone numbers are not useful for this purpose.
