    Would anyone know these? Especially the ringback. I've tried 311, 220, 990, 958, 980, 999, etc. No luck. 958 & 311, for example, ring once, then makes a tone like: "doo-doo-doo silence doot." 980 disconnects the phone for about a minute. I've searched Google but found nothing but nearly 15-year-old (useless!) 2600 archives.

    Ring backs were done away with in the matter you speak of. They were used to test your phone line. Testing is done differently today. Ring backs were removed from most major phone systems over 10 years ago
