Students at KwaZuku primary school in the Northern province today received a shock upon arriving at school: The school had disappeared. During the night, theives had broken into the grounds and dismantled the mobile school piece by piece. After investigations, police recovered the stolen school loaded on top of donkey carts. The wooden walls, books, chairs, tables and other goods were on their way to a nearby informal settlement where they were to be sold as firewood.
