i would just like to make a little ad right here for the nice folks at aaa

i don't remember how much it costs, but for someone with a car [and an ability to lose things] like mine, it is more than worth it

    i lost my keys
    the last ones
    they are gone

    i call aaa
a man comes, gives me a new key
    just like that
    for free
    he came to me

    it is so very nice

    and they have maps

3a rules. it was like 70 bucks a year the last time i had them. previous girlfriend had a penchant for locking doors with keys in the ignition. they'll sign you up on the spot if you call 'em for a lockout. they'll jumpstart you. bring you a gallon of gas. they'll probably even give you a reacharound if you ask nicely.

they are one of the more expensive auto insurance peeps here in SoCal. I was with them the first 2 years. Good service, can't deny it, but its on the pricey side, even if they are a not-for-profit company. had to switch.

I had been a member for their other services even when i switched insurance co. just didnt have extra $60 bones 4 months ago to send to the peeps to keep going. sad i know. never used the service, but it was good knowing, especially on drives to Vegas in the middle of fucking no where that we could rely on them.

i actually got my mom suspended from AAA in college because i kept getting towed on campus. militant campus parking enforcement. AAA reimburses you X amount of tow jobs but apparently i crossed the line. mama was pissed.

maybe a fanny pack is in order heather....with a coiled key chain attached.

Yeah, I have them. Thing that's great about them too is they've got a Notary Public. And maps, lots of maps. Picked up a map of Benelux countries cuz I'm going there this summer. Oh, and if you have a boat, try the AAA of the seas -- Seatow.

    Seatow is great to have.
We've never had to use them but it's nice to know we have help if we need it.

it's generally a waste of money.
