I agree. We live in a time where you only really get recognized for any significant piece of work after you die. Everybody's sad. When's the last time you heard Ray Charles played on VH1? On your local classic rock station? The mans a giant, at least as big of an influence as Johnny Cash and Joey Ramone. We're losing some giants in music.
