Rumors are flying that another band member was killed too, along with two fans, although another thing I heard was that it was a band bodyguard taht was killed and not a band member.

    :(

getting shot on stage 30 seconds into your first song.... that's a ROCK way to die.

This is all they are talking about here on our "alternative talk station."

They own a strip club in Dallas.

They are having a memorial service there. In a strip club. How appropriate.

Memorial in a srip club = **ROCK**

Wow, that's really messed up. Is that club on High Street, Sem?

By semilama on Thursday, December 9, 2004 - 05:42 pm:

no, it's on Sinclair a little bit north of Morse.

I could walk there if I wanted to, but you wouldn't want to...

What's weird is that the shooter was an ex-marine, and one of his victims was also an ex-marine. plus the killers name was Nathan and one of his victims names was Nathan. Coincidence is a funny thing.

I never was huge into Pantera, but I respected Dimebag's playing a lot. He was really technically on.

Poor Vinnie. Not only did he lose his brother, but fans were killed too. That's going to really hit him hard. I know both Dimebag and Vinnie really loved and respected their fans.

this is alomst as bad as losing Randy Rhodes.
although some talker on the radio here said that it was "the biggest tragedy to happen to metal, ever".

even thought I dont happen to agree, it certainly is sad.

the worst part is that after hearing about it I told the wife, and she didnt even know who he was.
    ...very disturbing...

By e. on Sunday, December 12, 2004 - 01:24 am:

    it was pretty tragic.

i didn't know *him* but I knew pantera.

all in all, i just imagine being there and seeing it happen...
it's still shocking, traumatic and all of that.
