The place this happened is like within a mile of my house. Mind-boggling. Well, I'm definitely not going to see any shows there any time soon! |

getting shot on stage 30 seconds into your first song.... that's a ROCK way to die. |
They own a strip club in Dallas. They are having a memorial service there. In a strip club. How appropriate. |

I could walk there if I wanted to, but you wouldn't want to... What's weird is that the shooter was an ex-marine, and one of his victims was also an ex-marine. plus the killers name was Nathan and one of his victims names was Nathan. Coincidence is a funny thing. I never was huge into Pantera, but I respected Dimebag's playing a lot. He was really technically on. Poor Vinnie. Not only did he lose his brother, but fans were killed too. That's going to really hit him hard. I know both Dimebag and Vinnie really loved and respected their fans. |

although some talker on the radio here said that it was "the biggest tragedy to happen to metal, ever". even thought I dont happen to agree, it certainly is sad. the worst part is that after hearing about it I told the wife, and she didnt even know who he was. ...very disturbing... |
i didn't know *him* but I knew pantera. all in all, i just imagine being there and seeing it happen... it's still shocking, traumatic and all of that. anyway. i haf a brane |
