    (1 kilogram is .4536 pounds)
(One metric ton is 1,000 kilograms or 1 million grams)

The MASS of the Earth is 5.98 x 10 to the 21st power metric tons (2,204.6 pounds is a metric ton.)
or 6.59 x 10 to the 21st power regular tons (2,000 pounds is a regular ton.)

By the way folks, "long tons" happen to weigh 2,240 pounds.
Therefore the Mass of the Earth in "long tons" is 6.077 x 10 to the 21st power (long tons.)

[a "long ton" is only 35 pounds more tha a metric ton] 16 TONS and Whaddya Gat? in other words "14.5 metrics tons and whaddya get? another day older and
    deeper
    in debt.

The SURFACE AREA of the Earth is 197 million square miles in metrics OR 511.2 million square kilometers (in metrics.)

The VOLUME of the Earth is 260 x 10 to the 9th power cubic miles or 260 billion cubic miles.

Or in metrics the Volume of The Earth is 1.085 x 10 to the 12th power cubic kilometers OR 1.085 trillion cubic kilometers.

(In England, beieve it or not, one billion is 10 to the 12th power which is the same as a trillion in the United States)

(a million is a million whether it's in united states or england)

Always write out the months instead of numbering them 'cause the United States puts the month first and then the date whereas England and most of the world puts the date first and then the month.
