So, this morning, I got up and went to work for blood test as result for health check up. So I went to McDonald, geez, counter guy was too slow, and then went to Wal-Mart to buy Anti-Virus software for two of my laptop.

The brand new I bought two months ago, I had to wait for the old one subscription to be expired, so I can install the Anti-Virus software onto two laptop at the same day. So, everything is running smooth.

Geez, I still hated the new one, it makes me fumble over with the keyboard, I liked the old one better.

    All for now.

By droopy on Friday, September 12, 2014 - 12:32 am:

i need to get a laptop.

yesterday i went to pegaso mexican diner. it's run
by a woman named monica who was born a man named
    eduardo. some damn good enchiladas.

By Pepper on Friday, September 12, 2014 - 01:44 pm:

droopy, is there "Frys" electronic store in your area? These laptops from Frys are affordable. Check this out https://www.frys.com

I am not for sure what do you mean, " it's run
by a woman named monica who was born a man named
    eduardo. some damn good enchiladas"?

By droopy on Saturday, September 13, 2014 - 12:51 am:

there's a "Frys" electronics in my area, but it's in
arlington. farther than my lazy ass is willing to
    travel.

    i'm not sure what's causing you confusion. it's a
restaurant owned by a woman who was born a man who
had a sex change operation. she specializes in
enchiladas, which is a dish native to mexico.

By Pepper on Sunday, September 14, 2014 - 11:11 pm:

droopy, you could of asked Antigone to take you to Frys store.

I am not sure why you mentioned about restaurant owned by a lady who undergoes sex change. Where did you get the crazy idea?

Anyway, today, I went out of town going to Chicago to beat boredom and didn't want to fall asleep while not doing anything. You got to do something. but, anyway, I happened to notice the same guy who I saw him a week ago after I visited the Crown Fountain. I saw him played a "Backpack Acoustic" guitar, along with the cardboard sign that said " Needs help I am 45 dollars short for trip back to Colorado". But today, I walked on the same corner and happened to see the same slick son of bitch who was playing the same backpack acoustic, but this time, his cardboard said " Starving Artist". When he happens to see me looking at him, he shied away from me.

I was having some thoughts whatever if these peoples are either are taking advantage or actually a homeless. My mind tells me something to do the same things: Dress up like a lady and make a sign that says : Crossdresser guy needs $$ for Sex Change.

By Antigone on Sunday, September 14, 2014 - 11:57 pm:

I know the distance and bearing to all Frys stores in the DFW area at
    all times.

I can take droop to the Arlington Frys as long as his chair can fit in
the back of my Smart car. :)

By droopy on Monday, September 15, 2014 - 02:11 am:

i mentioned going to pegaso because you had
mentioned going to mcdonald's. pegaso had recently
opened up near the place i work, which is on a
"traffic circle." we consider ourselves a
neighborhood of businesses. monica is kind of well-
known in the dallas-fort worth area. this was the
first time i had met her in person.

    honestly--if i ever get a laptop, it'll probably be
    from walmart.

By Pepper on Monday, September 15, 2014 - 04:43 am:

droopy, I need your opinion about these people who are a panhandler on the street. I see about twenty of them. Some are like "filthy", while the few are like "clean" ones. Do you think some of them are manipulating peoples into giving the needy for cause?

droopy, I am struggling with my identity disorder. It is not a easy task all due to the weather change. When the weather changes, my personality changes too.

By droopy on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 - 01:11 am:

about the panhandlers, i guess you have to judge
for yourself. fort worth, being such a small city,
doesn't really have lots of pan handlers who sit
on corners asking for money. i can cover the
length and breadth of the city easily in a
wheelchair, so it's not hard for cops to do it on
foot or bikes and shoo off any "beggars". we had
one, that i remember: very old, black, in a
wheelchair, and sort of an institution. he'd sit
on a corner on main street with a cup next to him.
not even asking for money; he'd just nod and smile
as people went by and they either put some money
    in his cup or didn't.

anybody who does ask for money is generally just
passing through. in fact, they often ask for "bus
fare" because the need to get back to dallas or
wherever they can think of. the other line is
that they've been traveling since (some other
state) and the need money for food. occasionally,
someone will "help me" with my wheelchair - come
up behind me and start pushing without my knowing,
which is dangerous - and ask for money.

i give people money, but not always. there were
times when i didn't and regretted it. and other
times, like when a young able-guy comes up to me
and i know he's gonna hit me up, i beat him to the
punch and beg for money first. sad cripple boy
that i am. it always sends them away.

don't know what to say about your identity
disorder. i have a disorder of my own. i wish i
could say something useful. maybe i just don't
    know enough. tell us more.

By Disordereddanielssss on Thursday, September 18, 2014 - 07:47 pm:

hey doc, give them all of your money. be
generous. it all comes back to you anyway, and
you don't really need money anyways unless you are
saving for an enchilada or sex change operation.
glad to find you and droop and anti still hanging
around here. I've been gone forever it seems.
Life. Took all my money they did.

By droopy on Saturday, September 20, 2014 - 10:23 pm:

earlier this week a friend of mine who had gone to
croatia to bicycle the countryside got into an
accident. she was on the trails, and took a fall.
the people she was with were ahead of her and
didn't see it happen; she has no memory of it. she
was found by another group of bikers.

she had a serious concussion, so serious that they
had to go in surgically to relieve pressure on her
brain. she's still in croatia, resting up in a bed
and breakfast. things could be worse.

got a call from my mother today. she had gotten a
call from my sister telling her that my (our)
father had been diagnosed with cancer (lymphona)
and had to go into chemotherapy immediately.

on the bright side, i found a gift credit card in
a box last night. when i checked it online, it
still had $4.59 left on it. so i used it to buy
    some cheap walgreens wine.

before that i had gone to the library to drop off
some books. checked out a book called "sputnik
    sweetheart".

By Pepper on Saturday, September 20, 2014 - 11:47 pm:

droopy, Life has its up and down. I have found alot of gift cards and prepaid credit cards. The same as prepaid cellular phone where you can refill using prepaid refill card.

I went out to Burger King for usual out to eat after long week of busy work. I decided to stop by Home Depot and browsing throughout the aisles. I was having some thought about building my cabin or hide-a-way bunker.

Did any of you purchased the powerball?

By Danielssss on Sunday, September 21, 2014 - 11:44 pm:

as a gambling counselor, I would advise against
it. But I am no fun.

By Antigone on Monday, September 22, 2014 - 12:46 am:

As someone minimally knowledgable of probability, I would
    advise against it.

By droopy on Monday, September 22, 2014 - 01:17 am:

i don't actually know what a powerball is. i defer
    to my worthy colleagues.

    just wanted to mention-

saturday i was on the southeast side of town, just
a block from the bus/train station. a guy, who was
coming from the direction of the station, came up
to me and said: "how do get to the county jail?"

he was a little older than me, disheveled in an
old t-shirt and old jeans and seemed nervous. of
course, i was momentarily confused; how many times
do total strangers come up to you and ask
directions to a jail? the jail is on the north
side of downtown (the opposite side we were on)and
i gave him the two options 1) go up 3 blocks to
main; you can see the tarrant county courthouse in
the distance; walk that way till you hit it, then
ask. 2) keep going down the street he was on till
he hit a cop station on 5th, then ask.

he thanked me and ran off. i don't know which way
he went. but i wonder, now, what was going on. i
guess he got news of a friend that had been locked
    up.

By Pepper on Monday, September 22, 2014 - 02:07 am:

droopy, I probably would ask danielsss for some advise too. I mean how do I go from here to there from being a man to woman. That is ... something I am struggling with on and off.

Normally, I don't play Powerball or Megamillion, unless the stakes are higher. I bought one drawing and didn't win, so the rollover is next tuesday drawings.

Damn this brand new laptop. I am having trouble with it!

By droopy on Monday, September 22, 2014 - 02:35 am:

this afternoon i was listening to the ted radio
hour. it's this show that comes on public radio
where different people tell a story on a theme.
today's them was "overcoming obstacles" or
something. one story was about a guy who lost both
legs in a mountaineering accident and went on to
    create innovative prosthesis for amputees.

another was about a model from the phillipines who
was born male and found her true self when she
came to america and had a sex change.

it's not really for any of us to say whether or
not you should have a sex change. but we support
    you if you do.

By Pepper on Sunday, September 28, 2014 - 04:29 am:

Well, it has been a week that you guys been so awfully quiet.

I was doing research on "Ruby on Rails", Powershell and MySql.

Hope to hear from you guys.

By droopy on Monday, September 29, 2014 - 12:25 am:

i've been in a farmhouse south of austin for the
past 4 days. no computer or wi-fi or nuthin'.

possibly convinced my 71 year old mother to try pot.
woke up the first morning to find a scorpion
    crawling on my foot.
met my sister and her family at an italian
winery/restaurant in a town called driftwood.
    drank too much.

By Pepper on Monday, September 29, 2014 - 03:06 am:

droopy, you convinced your momma to smoke pot? You one bad mofo!

What kind of scorpion was that?

I rested enough over the weekend, but I have some concern about me sleeping more than three hours during the naptimes last saturday. Should I be concerning about my health? I mean, when I am not doing anything and fall asleep.

By droopy on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 - 12:25 am:

it was a combination of my cousin and me that made
her say she wanted to smoke pot. we were sitting
on the deck and i brought up the fact that travel-
writer rick steves was on "wait wait don't tell
me" recently, and said that he was for the
legalization of pot. he's a board member of norml
and everything. my mother wasn't morally against
pot, so she found that interesting. my cousin
(sally) and i talked about our days smoking pot
and our pro-legalization feelings. i, by the way,
was never much of a smoker. if it was offered to
me, i smoked i; i never spent money on it. anyway,
i had my uke with me, and played a few of the old
1920s jazz "reefer songs" that are in my
repertoire. she felt the calling. also, she was a
bit drunk; she had shown up at the farm house with
    a crate of wine.

it was a striped bark scorpion. itty-bitty thing,
but unpleasant if it stings you.

By Pepper on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 - 03:04 am:

droopy, you have scorpions. I have skunks. This is the unfortuneately things that I have to dealt with it, espcially at night when I gets home from work, I have carefully look at my complex surroundings before I gets to the door. But tonight, it was different: the skunk was standing it way on the middle of the intersection where I was about to make a left turn, and I came to a sudden stop, and decided to divert my other way home without spew their stinky gland on my car.

Well, if I recalled my first pot experience at my high school day in Dallas, yes, it is in Dallas, Texas! If I get caught, I would definetly get suspended.

By droopy on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 - 12:22 am:

down on the farm, we never have trouble with skunks
at the house. usually, it's when somebody brings a
"city dog" down there. people leave them outside at
night, and wake up to the dog reeking of skunkstink.
once, my aunt woke up to find her dog sitting
forlornly on the porch with a face full of porcupine
    quills.

By Pepper on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 - 08:48 am:

Ouch! I have heard of that, sadly we,can't train the dogs on " How not to mess with porcupine". I once saw the porcupine so big, the quill is like 9" long.

By droopy on Thursday, October 2, 2014 - 12:56 am:

not to stereotype, but it's the african porcupines that have nine
inches. a north american porc has 4 inches tops. as they say,
    it's not the size....

    google "porcupine vs dog".

By Pepper on Thursday, October 2, 2014 - 02:40 pm:

The largest porcupine I ever seen was one in Brookfield Zoo, near Chicago.

By sarah on Monday, October 6, 2014 - 08:58 pm:

an armadillo was crossing the street this morning
as i helping load the girls in the car on their
way to school. the sun was up, but barely.
granted, i didn't have my glasses on. it could
    have been a baby opossum.

after much debate, i decided to go to acl fest
this friday. saturday i'm going stand up
paddleboarding, and then to a move (alone!!), and
then out to eat at my favorite restaurant with
    senor.

sunday we start getting ready to take off for our
annual group beach vacation. we're using a
    babysitting service this year.

    that's all, i guess.

By droopy on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 - 12:05 am:

had that nasty hail storm last thursday. found a
battered dove on the sidewalk later that afternoon.

had some rain last night. this afternoon i saw a
batch of evening-star rain lilies by the sidewalk.
    never saw those downtown before.
