THIS IS A READ-ONLY ARCHIVE FROM THE SORABJI.COM MESSAGE BOARDS (1995-2016).

By patrick on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 02:26 pm:

despite War TV, earthquakes and deadbodies in the street....

we are getting orders from the catalog mailing.

    this is good.

By Nate on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 02:43 pm:

    hooray patty!

    now where's my fucking catalog?

By patrick on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 02:46 pm:

your on the list. oh wait....i think the "friends" batch goes out this week. three batches. "press" "retailers" "friends"

By Nate on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 02:51 pm:

    well! i see!

By Hal on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 03:18 pm:

Yeah I'm still waiting too... Seen the one TBone got... Waiting for mine so I can order some stuff.

By Platypus on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 06:21 pm:

I see how it is...we "friends" are last...

By patrick on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 06:27 pm:

i dunno the wifey is puttin this shit together. if it were up to me, they would have been in the mail a long damn time ago....

    don't ask.

unless our friends intend to buy 2 dozen of each style and size....yes, you will always get mailed last.

By Antigone on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 06:38 pm:

    Hmmmmmm...

    High paying customers first.
    Regular paying customers next.
    Friends next.
Your husband's internet friends whom he's never met in person and regularly insults....last?

Sounds like good business sense to me. :P

By patrick on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 06:42 pm:

    shut your fucking hole. bitch.

    yes its purely business.

    thank you come again.

By Hal on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 07:21 pm:

I can feel the love... And hey wait a minute, if I were to purchase something wouldn't I be a regular paying customer too??? or do we get some sort of special discount no one's told me about?

    Damnit....

By pez on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 07:49 pm:

i want a catalog. for my first piece of mail at
my new house. other than union mailings.

By patrick on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 08:04 pm:

    friends get wholesale

By Cat on Monday, October 8, 2001 - 11:05 pm:

    "Wholesale"...loving?

    My favourite kind.

By Hal on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 01:18 am:

    Cool, wholesale rules over resale.

By pez on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 02:08 am:

    or retail.

retail = shit fuck "buh-bye" "thank you" lingo.

have you ever noticed, that anyone working in a service positin, whether it be retail, driving a bus or volunteering at a hospital, doesn't say good bye the same way? not "good bye" "bye-bye" or even "bye". it's "buh-bye" 90% of the time. and saying "thank you" for everything. like today. i took a message for one of mes roomies and said thank you afterward. what is this world coming to??????

is there anything in the catalog for overly tall somewhat bike punk girlies?

By semillama on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 10:01 am:

    Hi Cat.

By Dani on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 10:17 am:

What kinds of things are in the catalog Patty? If you get commission for sales from the catalog, I'd be happy to order some stuff. I'm a catalog-shopping junkie.
You may not need/want any of my business but I am serious.

By Spider on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 10:35 am:

    Hey, send me one.

By J on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 10:49 am:

    Sweaters I think Dani.

By patrick on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 11:53 am:

my wife is a sweater designer.

    she started a label.

    ergo catalog.

pez....since when did you become "punk"?

the garments are basic. simplistic. you'll see.

By Hal on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 12:00 pm:

Yeah they look really cool, not that I have a catalog of my own, but one will be on the way when Patrick and his wife get some time, I understand fullwell that its a busy life, I remember your story of vegas...

By J on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 12:10 pm:

Vegas is one of the last places I'd want to be right now.

By patrick on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 12:12 pm:

the should be in today or tomorrows mail folks.

By Kalli on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 12:40 pm:

    i want one sillyass.

By patrick on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 12:44 pm:

email me your addy again, i think i misplaced it hon.

By pez on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 06:40 pm:

somewhat. i'm not a full on raging blue haired mohawk combat boot punk. more like a bike punk, because i don't drive anymore and i try to say exactly what i mean. i said somewhat because it'll take awhile to shake off the ropes my family has looped around my neck.

i respect the ideals. to end the chains of culture which are completely unnessessary, to live life with a passion.

saying that, i could be just about anything.

i am going to design and knit a nosewarmer.

By moonit on Tuesday, October 9, 2001 - 08:46 pm:

    i want one too.

i should really make a list of all your email addresses. again.

    fucken computer crashes

By patrick on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 11:57 am:

punk is not just an attitude problem, a music selection, or a political view....further, a fashion statement.

based on the trends i saw at MAGIC...punk fashion is hip.

By Hal on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 12:08 pm:

Its clothes, its music, its attitude, its a group of people. You need all to be one with the force of punkness.

By semillama on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 12:22 pm:

I think the most important thing about "Punk" as a cultural aspect of western society is mindset. You can look like a punk but not think like one (for example, nazi punks). Conversely, you can not look like a punk but think as one (Pez, perhaps).

Pez, just want to compliment you, actually, your posts recently have been very thoughtful and good to read. Not that they weren't good to read before, but you know. What have you been reading lately?

By pez on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 12:37 pm:

zines, the newspaper, anthropology texts (not textbooks, but books of my own choosing) and fairy tales.

i know punk is "hip" right now, but to buy clothing from a major store "pre-punked" is not punk. it is sexist, overpriced, capitalist bullshit. if i wanted to look punk i'd shave a lot of hair and spike it with glue and kool-aid, buy boy's shirts at $2-3 dollars a pop and customize them myself. make my own jewelry out of shrinky dinks.

a lot of the punk mindset is based on the d.i.y. ethic, something would benifit any and all who believe in it.

By patrick on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 12:51 pm:

i agree sem....im glad you got out of your house pez. your tone sounds refreshed. im glad you're living a little, experiencing some things....being exposed to many different ideas. whether literally on a college campus or not, you and your peers are a collage campus so to speak regardless.

By pez on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 03:21 pm:

    "collage" campus.

i'd imagine the spelling was unintentional, but i like the way it appears.

so far today, i've discussed middle eastern combind with electronic music, drawn and practised ballet.

who says that's not an education?

it's sorta rough and tumble, but it's a lot of fun, learning new things, exploring, running around outside without getting heckled... enjoyable.

By patrick on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 03:28 pm:

heh. yeah it was, but it turned out ok.
    im a dope that way.

By pez on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 03:31 pm:

so? sometimes being a dope is cool.

By Hal on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 - 03:56 pm:

there you have it folks Pez is away from home I mean look what she just said ( yes I know this is out of context.)

    "...dope is cool."

By pez on Thursday, October 11, 2001 - 04:13 am:

    HAL! you fucking inane shortfellow!

if you weren't in montana and if i weren't carless, i'd go over and smak you. maybe i will anyway. catch a greyhound to missoula, find you, give you a good whack across the back of your head, then take the greyhound back home.

    sounds like a plan?

By Hal on Thursday, October 11, 2001 - 12:47 pm:

If your up to it, I'll give you a free swing.

By pez on Thursday, October 11, 2001 - 02:17 pm:

bwahahahaha. you know my email addy.

By patrick on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 - 03:34 pm:

Just a follow up to this thread, and I suppose this would be a potential spam, though its not my intentions. This is actually the first time i too have seen this entire list, so I thought Id share.

the wife's garb is available at the following places. The spring items are out. We are shooting the summer catalog at this time and Ive seen the samples for the winter collection. They look ten times better than the spring goods. Its been a year to date since the inception of Mille Nico and so far so good. Its been rough and we still arent in the clear but goods are made, in stores and future items are in the works.

think that several of us walked by it at
    sorabjifest I.

By droopy on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 - 05:14 pm:

my sister lives in new braunfels. i'll tell her to go to the outfitters place and buy mille nico products.

By Hal on Thursday, February 7, 2002 - 06:59 am:

Well aside from the fact that I just lost my fucking job...

None of those places are even CLOSE...

But thats ok I still have the catolog... I might find something again.

By patrick on Thursday, February 7, 2002 - 11:23 am:

don't feel like you have to buy anything, really. that wasnt my intent.

it was really more of affirmation to myself.

By agatha on Thursday, February 7, 2002 - 12:08 pm:

no seattle hookups? that's absolutely shameful.

i never got a catalog... email me, patrick.

By patrick on Thursday, February 7, 2002 - 12:20 pm:

we mailed about 500 boutiques, nationwide. Many in Seattle. Since i don't do the sales work myself, i can't really explain the abscence just yet.

We have a sales rep that deals with Portland/SF/Seattle corridor so we aren't ingoring the region. Right now, as we establish more and more and it seems the smaller to medium sized market boutiques are willing to give a new line a chance. Inner city, uppity, snooty poopy boutiqes are more leary of fly by night new designers.

I do know that Fred Segal in LA and Anna Sui in NYC have expressed interest in the line, so thats a good thing.

By pez on Thursday, February 7, 2002 - 02:16 pm:

you just lost your job, hal?????

    i'm sorry.

By moonit on Friday, February 8, 2002 - 12:34 am:

I never got my catty either.

    *pout*

By Cat on Friday, February 8, 2002 - 04:08 pm:

I had to find Antigone's birthday present somewhere.

By Antigone on Friday, February 8, 2002 - 04:30 pm:

I never got any headscrape from you, dear...

By Cat on Friday, February 8, 2002 - 05:25 pm:
