She has asked me to do her nails in a pinch before, no big deal. She pays me $10 for a fill usually, which is fine. We have some movies and books we are going to sell sitting on the table in the dining room and she already bought some but decided to check out the books today and picked out a few to buy. I finish her fills and she says "Is $20 OK". I assume she means the books and the nails and I say, I guess so (but a lot of the books were hardbacks and worth a little more, but this is my friend so who cares right?). She said that the $20 was just for the nails and she would buy the books separately. Cool. I point out she usually pays me $10 she says she doesn't care she wants to pay me $20 anyways. Cool. Tomorrow I will receive $20 for the nails and then figure out what to charge her for the books, not to mention the clothes she is brining over for my wee one. I feel so special. No one has offered that much money for something so small before :) It may not seem like much, but it is more than I would have asked for. I am happy. Every $20 counts! |
