    Broke up with my boyfriend and preparing to leave town. Signed up to work with the cleanup effort in Minot and waiting for the call to go.

    Nervous. I've never been to a work camp, never been that far east (yes, the midwest counts as east in my case).

    ....

    That was at 9am. It's 2:15 and I have a ride and a plan to get boots. I need to do laundry. I'm having dinner with family tonight. The bus leaves (leaves!) at 11:30 tomorrow morning.
