    Even though this was over 2 years ago , I can't help reflecting on this joyful day . During Katrina I could only take one of my cats with me during the evacuation "Spooky" who is a good traveler . My other cat Wendy miraculously survived the storm and the levee breach flood . 2 months later I brought her to an apartment which had a policy of only 1 pet
    Being under overwhelming pressure I brought her to a friends house in Uptown N.O. hoping the cat would be found by my friend .a month later I moved int a house about 1 miles away RUNNING OUT OF SPACE - MUST CONTINUE ON ANOTHER MESSAGE

    FOUND MY CAT Pt 2 - Like I said I went through a very agonizing period but never gave up hope . One afternoon on Sept 12 , 2006 I passe by my friends house to drop something off and spotted my cat and crawled slowly toward her as she ran under a parked car when this very nice man R.P. said 'Is that your cat . I said "I think so" . He asked \"would you like to take her home - do you want a carrier" which I already had with me but the answer to 1st question was obvious . I will always be eternally grateful to that man and appreciate what a source of comfort my cats are during these trying times
