Had one of those dinner-on-the-groundses today resulting in an absolute surfeit that hasn't left me yet.

But just thinking about this place, whose site I happened upon at random, stimulates a ravenous hunger. The hunger of the imagination, which so seldom is satisfied by mere food (but every once in awhile)...

Anyone ever eaten there? Was it worth it?

Isn't this the place where Mark is taking us all to lunch next week?

Not much for vegetarians, but I'm sure for a few extra $$$$$$ the chef will create something special for me.

By Agatha on Monday, November 16, 1998 - 01:00 pm:

they got them taters and a salad, sheila. and that fresh pasta of the day may be their attempt at soothing the rich vegetarians of the city.

Does they serve them there whores-de-ovaries???

LOL! The Park Bistro sounds yummy. But it's a little too pricey for bistro food. I love a good steak/but there's *nothing* you can do to plain-old sirloin to make it worth $24!

By NZAngel on Monday, November 16, 1998 - 08:58 pm:

Wow. That place is really expensive. Restaurant prices here are about the same in $ terms, but our $ is worth about half yours. So a really nice dinner for two with wine in NZ is about US$50.

Oh, and our wines are fabulous!

    Anyone remember Mason Williams?

"Lookit them hore doovers ain't they neat,
Little bit-a cheese, little bit-a meat."

(from the song about toad sucking)

And the King who was eaten by his Panties?

By Me....... on Tuesday, November 17, 1998 - 03:34 pm:

Actually, only partially- the Panties only ate the digestible parts and left the rest to his shoes to lick with their tongues........Oh, wow....did I say THAT???
