Anybody's mom ever make that stuff with tang n cinnamon n spices or something that made a hot drink for warming ya up on a cold winter day?

    Sheila:

Do you need an explanation? I'll give it anyway. Lemme see...okay, I just got home from work. Are you with me so far? People have some sort of alcoholic beverage when they come home from work, not all people. Still there? I have no Tang in my house, therefore, I must substitute. Are you starting to see what happened earlier this morning? Nuff said.

Oh my god, Whet! I do remember that insane mixture! I think mom labeled it with the name of Russian Tea, zat ring a bell? I remember that this dangerous dry compound looked like rust filings in the jar. I don't think I ever aquired the taste for it. Too b-czar.

    YES!
    Russian Tea it was...

There is probably still half of jar of the stuff in the back of her shelves somewhere, hard as a rock by now, that same funky mixture that looked like rust filings.
    :-)

i see. had i remembered the part about the bombing in wisconsin, i would not have asked such a stupid question.

    i get the picture now.

Sheila it's not your fault at all. I can see where someone would say, "What the hell is he talking about?"

aieee! *my* mom made russian tea, too! i thought she made that stuff up, but now it appears otherwise. she used tang powder, some cinnamon, and instant tea crystals - i think it was Rose brand tea. she'd make this stuff by the dry gallon and store it in the pantry. i have good winter memories associated with it.
