    Oi - you lot who are doing/have done the Atkins thing...

    My friend Sarah is doing it, and she said she was constipated - its been a week, so did that happen to you guys??

    Uh, not that I really like want to know, but she's getting worried.... is it just cause it takes your body a while to adjust? She's also not a regular pooper anyway?

    that's normal, but she needs to take a fiber supplement. Make sure to get one with no added sugar, preferably no sugar at all. Also tell her to eat more spinach and such.

    If you can find Atkins bars in NZ, they're also excellent sources of fiber. Some bars have 10g of fiber in them, which is about 40% of your daily requirement.

    then 1 tbs psyllium husk shaken with 1 cup water and a wedge of lime/lemon juice, every morning. gotta slug it down fast though.



    i have an appt w/ a gastroenterologist on feb 9th. and just for the record, i got the referral from my new gyno, not from the Ass Doctor.

    psyllium husk is great.

    there is psyllium in my breakfast cereal. it's done wonders for my bum.

    You can get psyllium husk in caplet form, too, in case you can't stomach the thought of drinking it, like me.
