    We might have heard the last "Stockton to Malone" last night. Those guys are both pushing 40. What a combo. Anybody see the Jazz/Mavericks game? I thought for sure the Jazz had it wrapped up, but the Mavs snuck back in at the end.

    In other news, anybody see that elbow that Tie Domi threw against Neidermayer? That guy's a fucking thug. I hope he gets a year suspension just like they gave McSorley.

    Without seeing the video, I want to remind you McSorly used his stick as a weapon, behind the play. This sounds like it was just a hit behind the play...a hit that would have been clean had it happened within the play. Again though, thats without seeing it. Domi is a big motherfucker...he's their goon squad. Thugs are a strategic part of a hockey team.

    Shame, isn't it? I know it's a rough sport, but to have somebody who can't do anything but just skate around and pick fights kind of sucks.

    Really? The season's too long, I don't watch very much during the regular season, but the playoffs are great.

    actually the thugs' strategy is not to run around picking fights as much as it is offensive defense.

    Such as, when a star forward gets taken down, its the thugs' job to go to bat for him and take the penalty.

    From the video, it does look clear, the elbow was extreme...but in the sport in general...players shove, poke and elbow each other in passing, behind the play all the time. Im pretty damn sure Domi didn't mean to knock the guy out. In fact, Domi is shorter than him, and probably didn't think it would do anything at all. I don't think a year's suspension is in order, but perhaps a reprimand of some sort is.
