So we got this beautiful brand new SGI Octane2 machine in today -- the freaks up in research have been bugging me every day for the last 3 months wondering where it is, they've got a molecular modelling program they need to run on it. So I unbox it, set it up, go to install the IRIX patches and the molecular modelling programs (4 cd's), and where the fuck is the CD drive??? Um, sorry dude, your $15,000 computer doesn't come with either a floppy nor a cd-rom drive -- those are external SCSI devices, purchasable separately. FUCK!!!
