You're too easy on the MPD. They effectively close down every road within 30 miles of DC from morning through evening, and then fuck up shooting the guy with a beanbag, causing him to jump anyway. If they're going to be inept, couldn't they have gotten around to it, oh, nine hours earlier? I like Ramsey, and think he's one of the last hopes for the MPD, and therefore the city, but he's got no concept of how the District fits in with the two suburban jurisdictions. He's got blinders on, not seeing past the DC line. Look at the slug line fiasco and running a roadblock on the 14th Street bridge at rush hour.

Just playing devils advocate again Jim but maybe what DC needs is someone without any ties or history to the city. Someone who can see a bigger picture and not be tied down by "history" and the idea that things need to be done a certain way because they've always been done that way.... And that jumper was only shot with a Beanie Baby so I'm sure it didn't hurt - probably tickled more than anything. He only jumped because he was trying to get away from the Beanie....
