This piece was floating through my head all last week. For a day I'd be humming it, then the next day I couldn't recall a snip of it. I remembered that it was used in the movie Zardoz (an obscure sci fi flick from the 70's starring Sean Connery) but I couldn't find a listing of the movie anywhere on the net that included the soundtrack... Go fig. Then I remembered that my ex girlfriend had a CD with the tune on it. I loathe talking with her, but this was important dammit, so I called her. She couldn't remember what CD I was talking about, and by the way why the hell was I calling her anyway, so I was back to square one. In desperation I wandered around Border's books and by blind luck I stumbled across the very CD my girlfriend had, (I recognized the cover, and that the piece was on track #9) Herbert Karajan conducting the Berlin Philharmonic doing a slew of adagios. (I'm a sucker for slow music...) So, now I'm happy...
