I love this song. It's really a Robyn Hitchcock song, but this is Michael Stipe doing it. It's off of the "In Defense of Animals" compilation...it's taken me 2 years to track this thing down. Just for this song. I'm listening to it now, and I'm thinking, I do a better job of this song singing it in my shower. Although the chords are nice, which I can't sing. But the version on the comp has this weird slap-bass line and this noise that sounds like someone singing in the background, but it is so freaking ugly and annoying I pity the person who has this voice. It's high and nasal, and the voice just sings these two notes over and over. But the CD redeems itself because the song after this one is a Primus song called "Too Many Puppies," which I assume was written expressly for the compilation. I like it a lot.
