I love that song,I saw Judy Garland sing it on t.v. along time ago and she was crying and I started crying.....a great song

By Kalliope on Thursday, November 30, 2000 - 01:20 pm:

That reminds me of an issue I need to ramble about....

I've found I *CANNOT* watch daytime television without bawling. Talk shows? Nope. I cry. News shows, I cry. Soaps--well, I don't watch soaps....I even found myself crying at Rosie O'Donnell the other day.

Not because of the program....more because she's still on the air..

But seriously....this really really bugs me.

I think it must be your hormones,I use to do that, but I think it was my hormones.

By TBone on Thursday, November 30, 2000 - 08:22 pm:

I remember the horrors of daytime tv...

We have a tv, but no cable, and the air channels don't make it underground. Someone random person I went to High School with appeared on ICQ and started telling me about how the boyfriend she had in High School dumped her, but they're still really good friends, kinda like William and Grace (or two names like that...) only he wasn't gay...

I had no idea what she was talking about. I thought they were people I should be remembering from school. According to her, they're on tv, and I'm the only person alive who doesn't know it.

By dave. on Saturday, December 2, 2000 - 03:58 am:

gee. scott will be back. you'll see. apocalypse will corrupt him but he'll be back. i don't know what i'm talking about. whatever happenned to molecule man? i figured they'd work him into a story by now.

By Hal on Saturday, December 2, 2000 - 09:44 am:

No I'm waiting for Physics Boy, who's mutant power is that he can fuck with the laws of physics at a whim.

So the bad guys would be truly fucked then because relitivity would be no problimo.

    Scott died... How.... When... Whathefuck?

By dave. on Saturday, December 2, 2000 - 12:48 pm:

that's kinda like molecule man. he's (arguably) the most powerful mutant but he retired and lives in an apartment with his girlfriend. or at least he used to.

By Hal on Saturday, December 2, 2000 - 07:05 pm:

Who knows, with all the comic book expansions, I belive that all comic book characters are all now caught in limbo.

By Nelly on Saturday, December 2, 2000 - 07:42 pm:

Sorry to get on topic, but

Seeing people sing Old Man River is embarrassing to me now - unless it's an old film clip of Paul Robeson or someone like that. Can't stand seeing anyone white doing it. Some old movie has a young Frank Sinatra doing it and it just creeps me out. He's not in blackface or anything but... It's a pseudo-minstrel song. And yet, it's one of those great great songs. I sing it myself, but not when anybody's watching.

By Hal on Sunday, December 3, 2000 - 09:43 am:

    Bing Crosby

By J on Monday, December 4, 2000 - 11:35 am:

The only person I ever heard sing it was Judy Garland,I don't get it,what does this mean?

By patrick on Monday, December 4, 2000 - 01:16 pm:

im known to wander subway stations and sing this tune simply because the accoustics afford me the most appropriate voice.

that and Go Tell It On The Mountain

Gee, don't worry, they are setting it all up to bring Cyclops back. Already strated the limited series about it. Fucker seems to have lost his power, but he's still a tight-ass.

By Gee on Monday, December 4, 2000 - 07:41 pm:

they make this big deal in the comic book about dropping clues that the main character who can't remember anything is Scott, but I'm not so sure he is.

Apocalypse was human once, wasn't he?

By Hal on Monday, December 4, 2000 - 10:05 pm:

    Yes...
