Just picked up her new album yesterday at the Irish Fest (pretty good, saw John Whelan and Cherish The Ladies play...). Kind of an "all-star" deal, but I like it. Lots of Carlos Nunez on it, Steve Earle doing "The Galway Girl", an interesting version of "A Man of Constant Sorrow" with Jackson Browne, John Prine's on there, The Hothouse Flowers, etc. Some really good accordion and fiddle playing.

The thing about Irish music, it's the most manic depressive music in the world. It either makes you want to yell and dance or weep like a baby.

I only went for the last day of Irish Fest. Next year I want to go all three days and catch some of teh Irish rock as well as the traditional stuff, and I also want to go with someone instead of by myself.

we played a big experimental music fest in atlanta with him and about 20 others. i dont remember anything about him though.

By Spider on Monday, August 6, 2001 - 02:58 pm:

He's.....experimental. I don't know how else to describe this (it's his "In Twilight" album). It would make a good soundtrack to a movie with very little dialogue filmed on a cloudy day in some broken down part of some northern city. I don't know if I like it or not.

You guys care! I'm so happy now.

Her voice is great. I like her lyrics, too, they are sassy. I like the way she always talks about "whooping yo ass."
