............................................................................I'm sure I still have the 12-in. somewhere/or maybe I left it behind in NY for safekeeping. (Vinyl doesn't travel nearly as well as CD's.) But I haven't listened to it in years. Or heard it on the radio since I played it on the air back in college. But it's been going thru my head for the past 3 days/probably becuz it rained incessantly here. Today it finally stopped. Yet I'm still hearing that song...

    "There was rain today
    & crystal blue was hidden
    'neath a cloudy gray.
    A sudden shower come
to chase the sun away --
    Occasional rain.

    Damn the weather man.
He seems to move against me
    any way he can.
    And he's been dealing teardrops
    since the world began,
    & occasional pain.

    And blue you
    don't believe
    I'm talking to you.
    The light
    is shining through you
& still you will not see.

    And blue you
    think I'm trying
    to undo you.
    When I only want
    to seek the truth
    & speak true.

    I can't tell you when
    but someday soon,
    we'll see the son
    reborn again.
    And there'll be light without
    as well as light within.
    And occasional rain...
    & occasional rain."

    -- Terry Collier: 'Occasional Rain'

I can't remember where I left my key to the new garage door/but I can still recall the lyrics/even the music/to a song I haven't heard in almost 20 years. Amazing, what the brain's cache files hold on to...
