    I have had and still have a best friend who is the opposite sex. We call each other for advice all the time and it's been a wonderful relationship. Years ago we did try sex together to see what it would be like but opted for a platonic relationship after. The chemistry just wasn't there. But I can tell from experience that friendship is more important on a emotional level,then sexual.
