This is probably a chick flick - funny, quirky, romantic, lots of great scenery. The characters are well drawn, although a little 2 dimensional at times. Classic scenes of culture clashes as the american girl arrives in Ireland to trace her boss's ancestry. Overall, it was very enjoyable and very funny, altho you americans might find the broader Irish accent hard to understand. Also there is almost no sex or violence, but 3 people do get their legs broken. |
a great deal. I love Janeane Garafolo (I often am compared to her, thanks to my undying sarcasm) and anything to do with Ireland... so it kinda worked out. :) |
