Thank TBone...and MST3K Why I oughta...: Thank TBone...and MST3K

I'm visiting my dad's house for a long Thanksgiving vacation, and last night I uncovered in my closet the huge collection of MST3K episodes TBone burned onto CDs for me years ago. Did I ever thank you properly, TBone? I hope to God I did, because this is a gold mine.

On Turkey Day, I'll watch my very favorite: The Amazing Colossal Man. As '50s sci-fi movies go, this one is actually pretty good, even without the riffing. They even tried to get philosophical toward the end ("What kind of sin must a man commit in a single lifetime to bring this upon himself?"), which is always welcome, and makes this stand out from the cinematic abortions that are standard MST3K fodder (Red Zone Cuba, I'm looking at you).

Oops, I forgot to mention: yesterday was the 20th anniversary of the very first MST3K broadcast.

i don't think i've ever seen an episode of mst3k, but the amazing colossal man takes me back to the 70s and watching creature double feature on a saturday afternoon. i haven't seen it since then, but i remember it was good - there was pathos.

Yep. The actor playing the title character was also clearly giving it his all.

Spider, I though CD first appear around 1984? or was that 1985?

There is very little that TBone has not and, indeed, cannot do. The depth and breadth of his talent would astound and amaze you.
