my grassroots, self-funded, community organization which i slowly have been working to grow for the last year and a half, finally achieved formal tax- exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit status. i never imagined i'd get this far. all i did was start with a website and 100 crappy looking business cards. i've been very industrious in many areas of my life, but career achievement has never been a high priority. so it's just surreal that this has come to fruition. i am so proud of the organization, and of the two other women who got on board with me and work their asses off executing some bitchin initiatives on a self-funded budget. now we get to raise funds. and do even more cool shit. i'm giddy. |
