By Hal on Monday, August 13, 2001 - 01:32 pm:

    Ok a couple things...

A:) Why ask a whole bunch of people who probably don't know off the tops of their heads, instead why don't you just call directory assistance and find out or, use a reverse phone # finder from yahoo or another one of those shitty as serivces?
B:) Why the fuck do you need to know soo bad as to ask a whole bunch of people who probably don't know, like the question was a matter of life or death?

By TBone on Monday, August 13, 2001 - 01:36 pm:

Why doesn't anybody ever call them and ask whoever picks up?

By J on Monday, August 13, 2001 - 01:47 pm:

I have sometimes, but nobody ever answers,or else they pick up the phone and hang up.

By Hal on Monday, August 13, 2001 - 02:06 pm:

    Some peoples fucking children.

By The Watcher on Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - 04:22 pm:

People, payphone numbers are not usually kept in reverse directories.

That is one reason the Payphone Project can never die.

Most local phone companies sell a block of numbers to independant payphone companies. And, never know where the payphones are placed.

By Frank on Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - 10:30 pm:

Payphone numbers are NEVER in reverse phone directories.

    OK, one thing.

    A) Why jump this person's shit for coming to a site with a PAYPHONE PROJECT and asking for information about a PAYPHONE? There's more to sorabji.com than the message boards, fer bob's sake. Even if the world does revolve around the message boards and WAYD.

By Czarina on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 12:24 am:

Hal,stop that. That is inappropriate and unacceptable behavior.Don't make me have to come whack you on your steel plate.

"Needing to Know"is a guest here, and deserves to be treated with respect.He/she has asked a legitimate question. And has come to the proper forum.

This forum should be off limits to us,unless we are providing pertinent info.

Of course, should any visitor, cross over to the message boards, they would then be considered, "Fair Game".

Now go and watch for your squirrels.

By TBone on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 10:28 am:

Once they're fair game, can we still pester them if they retreat back to the Payphone Project?

I should actually contribute to the Project more. It was the original reason I came here.

By pez on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 02:29 pm:

    where is hal, anyway?

By wisper on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 05:41 pm:

see, usually i would have a witty retort for that, but i am tired today.

By TBone on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 06:18 pm:

He's in Salt Lake on a mission to convert the entire city to Buddhism.

It was going fine until he actually talked to someone.

By bell_jar on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 07:17 pm:

    for bob's sake?

By Hal on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 07:18 pm:

TBone, Salt Lake... Buddhism... talked to someone.

    Screw you...

I apologuise to "Needing to know" I was having a shitty day. Pez as to where I am, everywhere, I feel as someone placed a bomb in the center of my life and spread it to the walls, sounds like fun eh'?

By Gee on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 08:12 pm:

    Look it's Hal!

    Everybody say "Hi Hal!".

By Frank on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 - 08:23 pm:

    Hi Hal!

By J on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 01:12 am:

    How's it hanging Hal?

By pez on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 02:28 am:

    are you sleeping hal?

i am getting very weird. stop me.

By Czarina on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 09:42 am:

    I love you Hal.

By TBone on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 11:44 am:

At this moment, Hal is doing one of the following:

    Sleeping

Fighting his way through thick jungles in search of an ancient and powerful artifact believed to stop time. He must get to it before it falls in to the wrong hands. Hal's adversaries killed his father and took the map that he had spent his life decoding, and Hal must rely on his memory of the old man's descriptions as he talked in his sleep on hot summer nights. Both the forest and temple are riddled with deadly traps, and one mistake will certainly result in an extremely painful death. The enemy has had a 3 day head start, and Hal is further encumbered with a nasty headcold and a case of Jungle Rot.

Being whipped by young, french-speaking girls in catsuits while gagged and tied to the ceiling.

Asking his doctor if a free sample of Viagra is right for him.

By Hal on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 12:17 pm:

    TBone's been taking drugs again.

I didn't dissapere for that long people.

    I love you too Czarina.

Oh and it was the one with the french-catsuit-women.

By J on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 01:37 pm:

TBone doesn't drink though, and thats a good thing.

By Hal on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 01:52 pm:

I don't know I'd like to see him a little tipsy at least once before I die.

By TBone on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 01:56 pm:

And I wouldn't mind seeing you coked to the gills and climbing a tall building naked and screaming, "I'm KING KONG!"

    But we can't have everything.

By Hal on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 02:13 pm:

You drink a 5th of Vodka, and I'll drink a 12 pack of coke and climb a building.

    We've got a deal.

By pez on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 03:57 pm:

wait a bit, so i can be there to take pictures.

the catsuit girl in the mask was me.

by the way, you still owe me an email.

By Hal on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 03:59 pm:

    Holy shit!!!

Makes sense why she was able to reach me on the ceiling with that tiny ass whip...

    Shit.

By pez on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 04:03 pm:

    ahhhhhh, i love being a tall-ass femme.

    did it hurt, halster?

By Hal on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 04:10 pm:

    Only a little.

I may be sensitive but damnit I can take a little pain.

By pez on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 04:14 pm:

pain is a very good thing, otherwise you wouldn't know you were cut until you saw the puddle of blood.

ah, pain, pain! sweet sweet pain!
watch my bloood go down the drain!

    hehe.

    whip?

    *ker-WHAP!*

By TBone on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 04:32 pm:

I wasn't talking about coka cola.

By Hal on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 04:48 pm:

Pez, you didn't sleep much last night did you?

That or you had WAY to much friggin sugar today.

By patrick on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 05:02 pm:

ahhh a BSDM participant in the making

By wisper on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 05:19 pm:

    get a room.

TBone, you made me burst out laughing so that all the cubicle people turned to see what i was looking at and i had to switch windows and say it was a funny email. And 'sorry you guys can't see it, i just erased it by accident i guess i'll have to get them to send it again.'
So one of you out there owes me an email that is as funny -if not funnier- that what TBone said.
    good luck

By Hal on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 06:30 pm:

    There you go wisper...

Sent something away to satisfy the hungry-mobbing-coworking-masses. I don't know how well it will work but hopefully it should make them giggle like school girls.

By pez on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 03:06 am:

    it's too much soda.

i usually get enough sleep, but sugar and caffeine.... whoo boy, don't make be drink a six pack of cherry coke unless you have a tranquilizer handy.

it's been a very very very weird day. brain is going 90 mph, approching hallucination.

By Hal on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 10:00 am:

Ok so I got the results back on my ADD/ADHD tests and the MMPI I took. I'm not ADD or ADHD, but I am attention deficit, I do not have the disorder I just can't pay attention worth shit. So I's asks the Doc "Why?" and he says because I have high anxiety. I'm not much one for taking drugs of sorts but I figured I'd try the sample for a few weeks and see what it did, if it didn't do shit or I got a whole bunch of side effects or something I'd go back. Anyway I took one last night, decided I was going to clean my room, took me 4 hours to do so but I did it, fucking room is spotless, I was a cleaning mofo, just got into that shit. So I get done, and sit there start watching a movie, and then another movie and then another movie. Next time I look at the clock its 3:00 am, so I decide time for Hal to go to bed. I lay down, and I tell my brain "sleepy time, shut down." it listens but only for an hour, at 4:00 I look at the clock... Fuck, "brain, sleepy time." so off it goes again for yet another hour, at 5:00 I stare at the clock again, "what the fuck... BRAIN, sleepy time." I sleep again for only 20 mins this time, finally deciding I can't get to sleep, get up take a shower eat some ceral that belonged to someone in the house I don't know, its been there for a while without being touched. And was at work by 6:30 I'm not tired, I'm fucking wired. Either they replaced the samples with CRACK, or this shit does stuff that is just good.

By dave. on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 10:14 am:

are you all clench-jawed and fluttery feeling? that's what paxil made me like. like i'd just eaten a fat cubensis about ½ hour earlier and was just starting to feel it.

By Hal on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 11:44 am:

No I feel like I was filled with jet fuel, and now I if I don't keep doing shit I'll explode... I am a working mofo right now, I've done more in the last 3 hours 15 minutes then I've done in the last 3 days...

By agatha on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 12:24 pm:

it might have something to do with your medication being speed. i'm just going out on a limb here, though.

not saying this is the case with you, but add and adhd are two of the most overdiagnosed and misdiagnosed mental issues of our times. i find it to be revoltingly irresponsible the way these therapists and doctors are diagnosing it at the drop of a hat.

    don't mind me.

By bell_jar on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 12:28 pm:

i heard somewhere that a lot of sleep apnea was being misdiagnosed as add and adhd.

By TBone on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 12:41 pm:

Hal's not on ADD drugs. He's on an antidepressant called Celexa. Speed would just make his anxiety worse, I'd imagine.

    He's fucking manic today.

By Hal on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 12:41 pm:

I'm not taking ADD/ADHD meds though...

I am attention deficit but not because I'm ADD, I have a high level of Anxiety, WHOOPTYDOO... No i'm taking an SSRI which is a seritonin booster, its technically an anti depressant but its also used for high anxiety, social regressiveness disorder, obesity, and a few other things.

By Nate on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 12:45 pm:

    aren't you fucks caffine addicts?

By Hal on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 12:47 pm:

Ummm yes, and damn my slow fingers TBone got to the post button before I did.

By Nate on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 12:53 pm:

well, your symptoms are congruent with excessive caffine use.

    dr. nate reports.

didn't your doctor say anything about that?

did you doctor ask you about what other drugs you might be doing?

By TBone on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 01:13 pm:

In my case, we did talk about caffeine use. I'm not addicted as such. I told her about my caffeine use over the previous several months. She said it wasn't a lot. Over time I've had a tendancy to go on a caffeine kick for a while, then just stop for a while. I've actually been consuming very little caffeine for the past half a year or so. I still like coffee a lot, but I just don't get around to making it myself, and I haven't been buying it for various reasons.

I always thought it was the caffeine before, which was why I never saw a doctor about it in high school. I just drank more coffee. Although I really didn't do any better at school work during the cross country season every year. I would completely quit caffeine and carbonated beverates for the season.

But yeah, caffeine addiction has a lot of the same symptoms. I never believed Hal was ADHD anyway. Figured depression was a closer match.

I didn't know about the sleep apnea thing, bell jar. I'll look into that. My girlfriend told me that I once stopped breathing for a while during the night. She hasn't noticed it since then, but who knows? I did have a tendancy to be tired a lot.

By Antigone on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 01:14 pm:

Woo hoo, here we go again!

By TBone on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 01:18 pm:

    Hmm. In that case,

DRUGS ARE GOOD. EAT THEM LIKE CANDY. ANYTHING YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON.

I figured hal went to the doctor 'cause he was jealous and wanted some of my adderall.

By agatha on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 01:18 pm:

yeah, after i wrote that i thought to myself, "fuck, what have i done?"

    too late.

By patrick on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 01:19 pm:

    antidepressents can have speedy effects.

    make you twitchy.

    neurons fire at odd times.

before my wedding i was a bit high strung, or so I told my doctor, because i wanted to see if i could get script of buspars. Antidepressent, antianxiety pills i had takn for recreational purposes in high school, and remembered beign quite high.

shit....not the case any more. I twitched, itched, "heard" and "saw" energies passing by me at light speed. I didn't sleep, I had constant moist pits.

    I threw the fuckers out...

for caffine addiction, or rather withdrawl gave me some of the most brutal headaches I've ever experienced. They also landed me a script of mild barbituates for about year straight.

By Nate on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 01:26 pm:

By Hal on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 01:45 pm:

    Hey TBone...

    Fuck you, you ass.

As for the caffeine issue, I've cut down severly lately just because I've been to poor to afford Dew and to lazy to make coffee, last night was a sort of bing.

By pez on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 02:02 pm:

    um, urb, yarggggggg!!!!

    HOLY SHIT ON A STICK!

    always remember to breathe.

    that's the trick, ain't it?

    oh, MAN!

By J on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 02:07 pm:

Actually I do know something about Salvia Divinorum, I think I posted a link about it a long time ago. It's leagle and is very intense.I've saved some info about getting some, but with the way things are around here, conditions are not right. And I have read that when you take it,there are certain "settings" one should be in. I'm trying to find out if they grow kava in Costa Rica too.Anyway from what I've read about Salvia Divinorm,it sounds heavier than acid.

By Nate on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 02:16 pm:

ya, i've been reading it's not a social drug. hyperreal.com has some info.

By Hal on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 02:21 pm:

    Pez.

Forget to take our medication today did we?

It seemed as though you were being strangled by your cat or something.

By pez on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 04:56 pm:

nope. sylvia has fleas and isn't allowed in the house until i give her a bath.

i really wanted to laugh, but couldn't.

By semillama on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 07:10 pm:

By agatha on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 07:41 pm:

By pez on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 09:12 pm:
